Apply to be a vendor at the Winter 2009 Beehive Bazaar

We begin accepting applications for the Winter 2009 Beehive Bazaar taking place December 3rd, 4th and 5th on Tuesday September 1st. We welcome all applicants! We will be accepting only 50 applicants, so here is a little craft counseling in a string of adjectives that describes what we are looking for- new, fresh, different, fun, clever, bold, bright, but most of all… original.

So take all of those new, original ideas you’ve got rolling around in your head and get some samples crafted up and ready to photograph for your application. We can’t wait to see what you all can come up!

The application closes on September 19th and we will announce the Beehive Bazaar Winter 2009 vendors shortly after. Will you be among the 50?

don't forget...

...our new location! This spring the Beehive Bazaar and After Party will be held at the Women's Council Cultural Center located at 310 West 500 North in Provo. Directly adjacent to- and sharing a parking lot with the Veteran's Memorial Pool and Pioneer Park. From this picture it seems we're sporting a little bit of a beehive roofline there in the middle. Sweet.

Beehive Bazaar After-Party

Soirée our way at the first ever Beehive Bazaar After-Party. Come mix and mingle with all your favorite Beehive Bazaar bohemia while enjoying an evening of live music, dj's, dancing, food and an ooh-lah-lah fashion show. Tickets are only 5 dollars...what?! Tickets will be sold during the Bazaar or you can purchase them at the door. We'll be posting more details soon--so check back.

The party will feature a fashion show by local designers Cherella USA and Nappi Clothing. We are thrilled to be working with Erin Olson of Haute and Prim, who will be working her fashion expertise as producer of the runway show.

Mathematics Et Cetera, Provo's own indie gems, will rock the hive as our featured band. Be sure to show up early so you can get all front-row and maybe go for a stage dive or three.

Molly Call has found a new medium...paint- but also felt and of course her first loves- collage and paper mache.

Jennifer Calderon modeling the latest rage in Hollywood, the knitted 'fanny pack'. Maybe Lindsay Lohan will stop by to pick one up!

back at work

It's been a crazy beautiful summer, but now it's time to get back to craft'n. Here is my work space, I just got these drawer and box inserts for my IKEA Expedit shelves- I love the perfect fit.
Ahh, my new smaller Expedit shelf, I love the cubbies for organizing fabric, books and all the other stuff that piles up..

Things are a little messy, I've got a few projects already underway. I'm trying to put the blocks of time I have when the kids are at school to good use.

special thanks

Here we are, (l to r: Stephanie, Colett, Molly, and Noelle) just after the clean up Saturday night. Happy with thai food in our bellies, but very tired.
The Beehive Bazaar was a great success! We love our new location!
Thank you so much to Gallery One Ten, and Art Access of Utah for sponsoring us, and opening your wonderful gallery for our use. We couldn't have done it without you!
We would also like to thank our vendors, without all of you and all your hard work, we would just be a few ladies craftin' in the basement.

Get yer craft on...

Just a sampling of Colett's many creative talents...it's hard to believe that she found time to craft while searching for vampires in the Portland area! Her gift tags are darling. She will also be offering paintings, rings, necklaces,(I'm sure that I'm leaving something out!)
